Factory
Programs, epochs, and the markets a venue lists.
Factory is the venue's app. You register the venue, connect the market API, set the reward program, and list the markets makers can quote. The program is configuration. The venue keeps its chain, its coin, and its matching engine.
Factory has three views: Registry, Handshake, and Console.
Application
Prove the venue with the domain, the operator email, and a Solana pubkey, then mint the Venue License. The license is the listing pass for that operator. A and CNAME checks sit with the domain record.
Directory
Connect the markets REST API. Directory polls the catalog about once a minute. Each new market stays in review until you list it. A price update on a listed market stays listed. A change to the title, the resolution rule, the settle time, the collateral, or a pinned contract sends that market back to review.
Handshake
Directory is required before a market can be listed. Switch on Authport when you want an allowlist, and Router when you want quotes and fills stored by the protocol. Both can wait until the venue is ready. The venue's own engine still matches.
Domain registry
Prove the venue with the domain, the operator email, and a Solana pubkey, then mint the Venue License. The license is the listing pass for that operator. A and CNAME checks sit with the domain record.
API handshake
Connect the markets REST API. Directory polls the catalog. Each new market stays in review until you list it. Price updates on a listed market stay listed. A change to title, resolution rule, settle time, or pinned contract sends the market back to review and names what moved.
Incentive console
Set the daily reward pool, the maker and taker split, the two-sided gate, and minimum shares. Those terms are what Makerbook shows on the row.
Reward epochs
Run the reward cycle on the venue's own clock: epoch length, time zone, and roll hour. Arena scores and rebate claims follow that window. Live progress is the share of the epoch still open.
Rebates and in-venue credits
Structure the rebate in Console, then reconcile it when the epoch closes. Mint in-venue credits against the maker's deposit, name the ticker, and set the redemption rate, the minimum balance, and the cliff.
Go-live sockets
Directory is required before a market can be listed. Switch on Authport when you want an allowlist, and Router when you want quotes and fills stored by the protocol. Both can wait until the venue is ready.
What must be on the record
A venue without chain, coin, decimals, catalog, and pinned contracts stays in review. The settlement record is:
- chain
- collateral symbol, token address, and decimals
- pinned contracts
- credit ticker and coin per credit
- rebate rule: taker share, maker cut, epoch, two-sided, minimum shares
Console separates In review, with the one-line reason, from Listed, which is what Makerbook can quote.
Changing the catalog host, domain, decimals, coin, or a pinned contract after the venue is live pauses the listing and stops new deposits through Opfico.
