How it works
How a venue funds a rebate and a maker redeems it.
The Opfico protocol has two apps, each built for one side of the network: Makerbook for market makers and Factory for prediction market venues.
Factory
Factory is where venues get started. A venue lists itself on Factory, adds its markets and order books, and sets up its own maker rebate structure. Venues have full flexibility here, configuring rebates to suit their markets and growth goals. They then post these rebates into Opfico's smart contracts as collateral, which signals to market makers that rewards are funded and ready.
Makerbook
Makerbook is where market makers find those opportunities. It lists every qualifying market from listed venues in one place, along with the rebates each venue offers. Market makers browse Makerbook, choose the markets they want to quote, and trade directly on those venues while keeping full control of their funds.
The protocol
Opfico ties the two sides together at the protocol level. It tracks each market maker's activity, reconciles it against each venue's rebate structure, and calculates the rebates they have earned. Market makers can then redeem those rebates directly from Opfico's contracts.
The result is a simple loop: venues set and fund rebates through Factory, market makers discover and supply liquidity through Makerbook, and Opfico ensures every market maker is rewarded fairly and transparently.
