Directives
The principles that shape how Opfico is built, designed and used across the ecosystem.
Opfico is built on three directives. Each one guides how the protocol is architected, how every feature is designed, and how venues and makers interact with it. Together, they define what it means to build liquidity infrastructure for an open financial future.
Non-Custodial, Open and Transparent
Every maker keeps full control of their funds, from the first quote to the final redemption. Opfico records activity, reconciles it against the rebates each venue has posted, and pays directly from the contracts. Rebate pools, program terms and earnings are visible to everyone, so venues and makers can verify every listing, every fill and every payout for themselves. Trust comes from the open record itself.
Stack Agnostic and Interoperable
Opfico connects to venues as they are. Each venue keeps its own order book, its own settlement and its own coin, and Opfico works alongside whatever stack it runs on. Makers reach listed venues through one access point, and venues join the network through a single integration. This lets the ecosystem grow in every direction, with Opfico as the common layer that links it together.
Safe and Frictionless
Safety is built into every step. Markets enter the network through review, and any change to the title, resolution rule, settle time, collateral or pinned contracts returns that market to review, while routine price updates flow freely. Credits come only from eligible makers, verified settlement addresses and active venues, keeping every rebate clean and earned. Behind these safeguards, the experience stays simple: venues publish programs, and makers discover, quote and redeem without extra steps.
